This Week is August 25th

What a week we had!  So I got a new camera for the blog site....or at least, that was my justification for a totally cute purple camera and even cuter pink case!  I made everyone in the family pose so I could test it out!

The boys started both baseball practice and soccer practice this week.  (Carter is playing both, Kyle just plays baseball)  Kyle cannot go to practice for a few days due to a newly sprained right wrist.  If you recall, it was two years ago almost to the day that he broke said wrist, so we feel there is some bad karma associated with that joint!

Carter is all about long-boarding and I have discovered that lots of people don't know what that is.  It means go through 2 boxes of band-aids and a whole tube of Neosporin during the first 2 weeks of use.  We thought he was going to need skin grafts!

And a video for you to check out his mad skills....

I have made some great friends in our new neighborhood and we started a weekly tradition called "Taco Tuesday".  We each take turns hosting and it was my turn this week.  We also like to call it "$10 Tuesday" when we feel like eating pizza and we all get $10 pizzas from Papa Murphys!

We had a great time with our friends, Keri and Patrick, and their kiddos, Tyler and Tori, up at their condo in the Cascades.  It is gorgeous up there and we had so much fun.

Our friends from Indy, Pam and Tim Savona, were in town this weekend with Chelsea to visit their daughter, Ashlea, who lives in Seattle.  It is still so hard to believe that little 13-year-old Ashlea and little 17-year old Chelsea are all grown up!!  We had them over for dinner on Sunday and I didn't take any pics!!!  DUH!!  That is not the last time we will see them, so I will be sure to take pics next time!!

Have a great week everyone!

This week is August 18th

Welcome to the Trebing Family blog!  We moved to Washington from North Carolina and we want to keep family and friends updated on our new life here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

This week my dad came out for a visit and we had a great time.  We went to Boeing's Museum of Flight and then down to Belltown for dinner at Vita E Bella, our favorite Italian restaurant, on Friday night. We spent Saturday down at the waterfront.  We took a cruise around the harbor and then had lunch at Ivar's.

No trip to Seattle is complete without a trip to the market:

Our friend Luke is a lieutenant in the Seattle Fire Department.  He gave us a tour of the fire boat and it was so cool!  Thanks Luke!!
